The second week of winter was spent learning about what animals do in the winter. Here is the tree map we made about what animals do during the winter days.
Students then wrote about one animals in the science journal. They drew a picture of the animal then wrote what it does during the winter.
Students also drew a picture of an animal. Then we measured how long the animal is. Students used unifix cubes to measure the length of their animal. Then students wrote down how many cubes long their animal was.
I love your idea of having them draw an animal and then using cubes to see how long they are cool. this is my blog El kinder de maestra nieves is a bilingual blog with songs and fingerplays both in english and spanish.
